Then you have a job to apply for! Your New Job To HöglandsVux in Eksjö, we are now seeking an SFI Teacher as one of our colleagues is moving on to a new assignment. In the role of SFI Teacher, you will plan, conduct and evaluate instruction according to the governing documents and curriculum applicable to our activities and teaching. The teaching groups consist of students with varying educational backgrounds, experience and study habits. As an SFI teacher, you are responsible for working with students' language development and adapting instruction based on individual students' needs. The assignment includes teaching adult beginners who are to learn the basics of the language, so-called literacy. Your duties also include documentation and follow-up responsibilities as well as grading. You are expected to take an active role in the school's development, contribute to good collaboration between all professions at the school, and take an active role in collegial learning. About You We are looking for someone who has a teacher certification with qualifications to teach in SFI. Previous experience working with language instruction in SFI and/or experience teaching and training adults is a merit. Good knowledge regarding instruction of a multicultural group with different prerequisites based on different educational backgrounds is a requirement. Likewise, good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written. As a person, you take responsibility and structure and plan your own work. You have a gift for motivating learning and have a strong ability to adapt your instruction and your way of describing and explaining based on the person or people you have in front of you. Since the people taking SFI come from several different countries, you need to value and appreciate different cultures and have an understanding of a broad range of cultures. You work well with others and create good relationships. About Our School Since summer 2026, Höglandsvux brings together adult education in Eksjö, Nässjö and Sävsjö under a common administrator, Höglandsförbundet. Together we offer education at basic and upper secondary level, vocational training, Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and adapted adult education. Through collaboration, we create more opportunities for our students and a stronger operation for our employees. Here different experiences meet, new paths open and the future is shaped through learning, development and competence supply. Vux i12 in Eksjö is responsible for both basic and upper secondary adult education, as well as education in Swedish for immigrants and adapted education for adults. We currently have around 500 students and our staff currently consists of about fifteen employees with various competencies and roles. Our operation is characterized by an unpretentious climate with great openness between the different work teams, where everyone focuses on the students' best interests. Adult education has an important role in competence development, qualifications for further studies, career change and meeting competence needs in our region. Good to Know The position is at 100% with employment according to agreement. To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the correct qualifications, we ask you to attach a valid teacher certification obtained from Skolverket and not older than two months.
