DUTIES Mjörnbo Allé is now seeking a dedicated educational support specialist who wants to contribute to strengthening the quality and development of the organization. Mjörnbo Allé is a residential facility with special services under the LSS Act, located in Gråbo. The facility consists of six apartments and serves individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) and autism, among others. The residence is staffed 24/7. As an educational support specialist, you have a central role in the organization where you combine direct user-focused work with planning, method development, and mentoring of colleagues. Through a structured and solution-focused approach, you work together with support assistants to create the best possible conditions for residents to live as independently as possible. You and your colleagues work to create a safe, predictable, and meaningful daily life for the residents, while actively contributing to developing the organization's quality. Together with residents and staff, you identify development needs and implement health-promoting and educational methods that strengthen residents' participation and influence. Your main responsibilities: · Support services: Create a meaningful, safe, and developmental daily life for the residents. · Planning and follow-up: Design, follow up, and revise implementation plans together with residents and colleagues. · Mentoring: Support and develop colleagues' competence through mentoring and knowledge sharing. · Quality development: Drive and participate in development initiatives to raise the organization's quality. · Collaboration: Participate in educator networks and collaborate with family members, colleagues, and other professionals to create holistic support across the organization. · Meeting facilitation: Lead facility meetings together with the work team. Other Information This is a full-time position with working hours according to schedule. Based on current needs, this involves working every other weekend and a distribution of approximately 20% educational time and 80% direct work in the facility. The distribution of educational time and facility time may change depending on the needs and challenges the unit faces. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with: - Post-secondary specialization in the disability field (minimum 200 vocational higher education credits or 60 university credits with pedagogical focus) or other relevant behavioral science education. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. - Two years of experience as an educational support specialist or other experience the employer deems equivalent - Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism - Good knowledge and experience of AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), clarifying pedagogy, and low-affect interaction - Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish Meritorious: - Experience in leadership or mentoring of colleagues - Experience working with people displaying challenging behavior - Class B driver's license Before a job offer is made, we ask that you provide an extract from the police criminal record register.
