We are now looking for a committed family counselor who wants to contribute to creating positive changes and strengthening families' own resources. You will join eleven dedicated colleagues with extensive experience in social work and family counseling. It is a stable work group that has worked together for a long time. We work from a systemic perspective with a focus on solutions, participation, and evidence-based methods. We have regular external supervision and close, regular methodological support from method supervisors. We have the possibility of some flexibility in our working hours as Lerum Municipality applies annual working hours. For some years now, we have worked in beautiful and adapted facilities for our operations. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a family counselor, you work on behalf of social workers with youth and families with children aged 0-20 years. We also offer support to families and individuals who seek help and guidance themselves (IUB). In this role, you are responsible for working together with the family or individual to design and implement interventions based on assignment, needs, and set goals. Our ambition is to offer qualified, flexible, and accessible interventions at home in close collaboration with families. The work involves supporting families in change processes through various forms of interventions. This can include family counseling, parental support, individual conversations, and interventions with children and youth, as well as network meetings and collaboration meetings. An important part of the work is also to collaborate with people who are significant to the family and with other professional actors to create the best possible conditions for sustainable change. As a family counselor, you work both independently and together with colleagues depending on the nature of the assignment. Interventions are carried out in our facilities, in families' homes, or in other appropriate locations. The work may, to some extent, involve evening shifts. You are also expected to actively contribute to the development of the operations by planning, coordinating, and distributing work tasks together with colleagues to best utilize the unit's collective competence and resources. We want you to be involved in our development work regarding IUB and contribute your experience and expertise. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a social worker (socionom), social pedagogue (3-year education) or has other university education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience in family counseling work and feel confident meeting families, children, and youth in different life situations. It is meritorious if you have further education in psychosocial work, such as systems theory, FFT, Repulse, COS, Safer Children, Komet, FCU, Marte Meo, or other relevant methods and treatment approaches in the field. To thrive and succeed in the role, you are good at creating trusting relationships and motivating people toward change. You work from a salutogenic approach and have a genuine commitment to strengthening individuals' and families' own resources. We place great importance on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and persistent. You have good collaboration skills and can create trusting relationships with families, parents, children, youth, as well as internal and external collaborators. You also have good documentation skills and express yourself well both verbally and in writing. Experience with documentation in the Treserva management system is meritorious. A driver's license is a requirement. Interviews will be conducted during weeks 35 and 36. The position is primarily a temporary assignment until 06-27-30. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01, end date: 2027-06-30. Working hours: Daytime.
