Over the past three years, Härryda municipality has consistently ranked among the top in Dagens Samhälle's annual ranking of Sweden's best municipalities. You'll find us between Gothenburg and Borås, with Landvetter Airport right in the heart of the municipality. The IT function at Härryda municipality aims to deliver modern, innovative IT with high service levels to the municipality's various operations. IT development in Härryda is in an expansive phase that places high demands on supporting central IT. To meet operational needs, we are now recruiting a service-oriented IT systems administrator. Our IT function has 25 employees working with systems administration, operations, service and support, and systems development. If you want to be part of a great team in a municipality with high growth and exciting challenges, we welcome your application to Härryda municipality. Together, we accomplish more! Your Assignment Imagine a role where your work every day contributes to Härryda municipality functioning securely and accessibly. As an IT systems administrator, you are the link between technology and operations. You belong to the IT function and work closely with five colleagues in a team where collaboration, curiosity, and knowledge sharing are fundamental. Your task is to manage designated operational systems and work with new requirements from an IT and infrastructure perspective in close cooperation with the operations' own systems administrators. Together you drive change projects and ensure that systems not only function and are secure, but that they actually create value for everyone using them. In this role, you have designated operational systems with clear ownership, which gives you a high degree of authority and scope for action. In practice, this means you develop and decide management plans together with system owners and the operations' systems administrators, translate operational needs into concrete IT requirements linked to infrastructure, and initiate and project manage management assignments from idea to delivery. You plan and coordinate system changes according to ITIL and the Change framework and maintain ongoing dialogue with suppliers and IT function technicians to secure and plan deliveries. An important area is ensuring that system documentation remains current and accurate, and monitoring the external environment to capture IT trends. All work is conducted within the framework of the municipality's systems administration model, which is based on a simplified variant of PM3. What This Position Requires We are looking for someone with at least three years of operational experience with IT infrastructure, including server and network configuration. This knowledge will give you the right foundation to both discuss and plan needs and activities together with operations. You have a technical understanding of how infrastructure interconnects and how changes in one system can affect another. You have relevant higher education—for example, in systems science—or what we consider equivalent work experience. It is an asset if you have worked with systems administration according to PM3 for at least three years and have project management experience. It is also an asset if you have worked according to ITIL and are accustomed to planning changes, for example by writing change requests. In your application, we ask that you concretely describe your experience with IT infrastructure and your experience with PM3 and ITIL. As a person, you are humble and trustworthy, receptive, and generous with your knowledge. You move naturally between technology and operations, and communicate in the way the situation requires. You make your own decisions, deliver with quality, and step up when needed. In recruitment, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are not just looking for a job. You are looking for a place where you can grow, contribute, and make a difference—for colleagues, for residents, and for an entire municipality's future. A valid driver's license (B category) is required for this position. You must have excellent spoken and written proficiency in both Swedish and English. As a final candidate, you will undergo a background check, complete tests, and provide an extract from the Swedish Police's criminal record register. What We Offer You Härryda municipality has a hybrid IT environment—a combination of cloud services and locally developed solutions. We are undergoing a technology transition in how we design the municipality's infrastructure. But it is not just a technology shift; it is a way of thinking about how IT creates value for an entire municipality. You step into an environment where your ideas are actually taken seriously and where your contribution is truly visible—for residents and employees in Härryda municipality. We place great emphasis on your personal development and see you as a vital part of shaping the municipality's future IT environment. The office is located in the attractive Mölnlycke center with excellent transportation links, and we offer the opportunity to work partially remote as well as a generous wellness allowance.
