The Prevention and Service Unit seeks to strengthen the unit's management with an additional Senior Social Worker. We offer an exciting assignment with a focus on developing and leading two of four teams that are part of our unit.
Our operations constantly work to develop and create a sustainable social service for the future with a focus on expanded preventive work and early interventions. Our goal is for children and families, as much as possible, to receive support in their home environment and for all children to succeed in their schooling to manage their future independently. An important assignment is that families, children, and young people who want support shall receive it as soon as possible. We work with a family-oriented approach and base ourselves on a systemic holistic perspective with Signs of Safety as our common approach and method.
The Children and Family operations area in Härryda municipality consists of three units:
1. Prevention and Service
2. Investigation and Protection (domestic violence)
3. Family Support and Foster Care
The current Prevention and Service unit is led by a unit manager who, together with two Senior Social Workers, leads the operations (one of which is an expanded Senior Social Worker position). The unit consists of eight family counselors, three of whom work at the municipality's family centers, one integration coordinator, six field secretaries, and school social teams consisting of four family therapists.
In total, the unit consists of 19 employees.
We are now looking for you to work as a Senior Social Worker with the task of leading the daily work for Härryda municipality's school social teams and field secretaries. The field secretaries' target group is children and young people 11-18 years old. Härryda municipality's work with school social teams is under development, which means you will have great opportunities to influence both the design and working methods.

Duties
The current assignment as Senior Social Worker includes a management and methods support role. You will be primarily responsible for methods support and will be responsible for, among other things, team meetings, case distribution, and being available support in the daily work of the unit. It may be relevant for you to hold internal training sessions and workshops for all three units of the operations. The position requires high demands for collaboration with other actors such as schools, leisure activities, police, and always with the best interests of children and young people in focus.
The work duties also include being responsible for coordinating and developing the different teams in close collaboration and dialogue with the team members and in accordance with the team's mandate. Case supervision and methods development of the team's work in accordance with Signs of Safety is also part of your role as a manager. Your main task is to provide methods support but also to be involved in operational work. This may mean conducting various group activities and having individual conversations within the framework of support services without individual needs assessment.
You will be part of the unit's management group where you will have close collaboration and access to the unit manager. On strategic issues such as development work, competence development, and implementation of procedures and methods, you will also participate in the operations' extended management group. In the extended management group, there is also responsibility to cover for each other during absences. You will also be part of a network with other Senior Social Workers, both within social services in Härryda and in neighboring municipalities.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work.
You need many years of experience in social work with children, young people, and families. It is meritorious if you have previously worked as a family therapist, have experience with field secretary assignments, preventive work, and have experience in public service authority. Basic knowledge of Signs of Safety is desirable.
Leadership experience or supervision experience in social work is desirable. You need an approach in accordance with Signs of Safety and work in a trust-based manner. Appropriate further education will be meritorious. Communication and documentation are important parts of the assignment, which requires that you master the Swedish language and have a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing. We place great emphasis on your willingness and ability to contribute to a positive work environment. You need to have good leadership qualities and have an open and confidence-building approach that inspires and develops others. You should be comfortable making decisions and distributing work tasks. Ability for holistic thinking, teamwork, and creativity are also important qualities. You should be a responsible and structured person.
For this position, work psychological testing may be part of the recruitment process. A driver's license is a requirement.
