Regional Adult Psychiatry Falun/Säter has a regional mandate within adult psychiatry and is responsible for the care and treatment of patients in acute psychiatric conditions. The operation is divided between Falun and Säter. In Säter, there is the region's only psychiatric emergency clinic as well as Departments 90 and 95. In Falun, there is a substance abuse center, a general psychiatric inpatient ward, LARO, and ECT services. Department 90 in Säter is directed towards patients with serious psychiatric conditions and a great need for intensive care and observation, for example in cases of psychosis and manic episodes. Many patients are cared for under the LPT (Compulsory Care Act). The department has 10 beds and high staffing around the clock.
