The Department of Women's and Children's Health (KBH) is an international and multiprofessional department with a focus on health and welfare. We are now looking for an economist to replace one of our experienced economists who will soon be retiring. We currently have five staff members in the finance function. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work and develop within finance administration while being part of the operations. Job Responsibilities The job responsibilities involve independently managing administrative matters related to finance and overseeing tasks such as financial statements, follow-up and analysis, and budgeting. Further responsibilities include reporting to external funding providers, invoice management and project calculations, as well as supporting project managers in finance and procurement matters. In your daily work, you will interact and collaborate closely with researchers and other staff members in the department's support functions. An important part of the work is thus to provide good service and support on various financial matters. Since we work together as a group, other administrative tasks may be included. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is interested in finance and enjoys providing service. For this position, you need to have a university degree in finance or another relevant field, or post-secondary vocational education in finance, or equivalent competence that the employer deems equivalent. Relevant administrative experience is a requirement for the position. To perform the job responsibilities, you must also have good computer skills, strong Excel knowledge, good analytical and mathematical ability. Furthermore, good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English is a requirement. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, including good ability to work independently and in a structured manner, personal initiative and motivation, and ability to prioritize. We will also place great emphasis on accuracy, flexibility, strong sense of responsibility and service, good teamwork ability, and ability to handle work peaks. Desirable/Meriting Qualifications Experience working with finance systems is meriting. Experience in qualified finance work such as financial statements, accounting, and follow-up is desirable.
