In the Care and Services Department, we currently have approximately 1400 employees who, with our combined knowledge and professional experience, provide care and healthcare to Alingsås residents in their homes or at our facilities. Bjärkegården elderly care home is located in Sollebrunn and is a residential facility for both people with dementia and individuals with physical disabilities. The home consists of seven units with 66 residential places. Around Bjärkegården there are several beautiful outdoor spaces and green areas. In one of the outdoor spaces we have chickens roaming freely during the summer, which is an appreciated feature. One of our units also has a house cat.
We are now looking for a nursing assistant or care worker for an 80% temporary position. The temporary position extends for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

WORK DUTIES
Work with us consists of supporting our service users in their daily lives by providing good and individually adapted care based on their needs. Our goal is to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for everyone living with us. You will mainly work with patient care, service, social interaction, and documentation and reporting in accordance with applicable legislation and guidelines. For nursing assistants, delegated health and healthcare tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff are also included.
In this role you are flexible and responsible as work days can include everything from personal care and practical support to social interaction and being there for someone who needs it. As a nursing assistant, the assignment may also include delegated medication management, participation in welcome meetings, establishment and follow-up of implementation plans, and contact with family members.
You work scheduled shifts during day, evening, and weekends and have the opportunity to influence your schedule. Co-planning between the units at Bjärkegården is a natural part of the work in accordance with Alingsås municipality's staffing strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
• is a trained nursing assistant or care worker
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• lives in the local area or has access to a car or equivalent, as public transport to Sollebrunn is limited
It is an advantage if you have experience working in elderly care.

You enjoy working collaboratively, contribute to a good working environment, and meet both service users and colleagues with respect and attentiveness. When everyday circumstances change, you easily adapt and see solutions based on the service users' and the organization's needs.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
