We are seeking someone who wants to work systemically and develop your skills in family work. You possess analytical abilities, and it is meritorious if you have experience in family work, family therapy, or cognitive therapy. Further education within the field is also desirable, preferably systemic education or other methods aimed at conducting qualified change work. It is important that you have strong verbal and written communication skills. Consultation and training occur partially in English, so good English proficiency is also necessary. Social Secretary at the Emergency Department

Now we're preparing for the future of social services! Since fall 2025, the Department of Care and Elderly Services has been piloting social secretaries at health centers and emergency departments. The new working methods have been successful and will become permanent. In addition, we are exploring the possibility of starting a reception unit. Therefore, we are now expanding our operations with more social secretaries. Do you want to be part of developing a completely new role, part of the future of social services in close collaboration with the emergency department at Södra Älvsborgs Sjukhus and the Sjuhärad municipalities? Are you an experienced and attentive social worker who wants to work both preventatively and in an authority capacity - and make a real difference for people at an early stage? We are now seeking two social secretaries for the emergency department at Södra Älvsborgs Sjukhus, with a clear focus on preventive work and early interventions. About the operation Your primary workplace will be at Södra Älvsborgs Sjukhus (SÄS), Brämhultsvägen 53, where you will spend most of your time. In addition, you will have your workplace at the Department of Care and Elderly Services' authority operations, at a centrally located office at Ramnåsgatan 1 near Central Station and the Travel Center. To help balance work and leisure, flexible hours are available when work permits and some remote work is possible. You have access to various benefits; in addition to the wellness allowance, our award-winning staff club MerKraft organizes activities and you have free admission to the city's swimming facilities. There is also the option to lease a bicycle/e-bike with a gross salary deduction. We offer you a pleasant workplace with a heterogeneous work group characterized by joy in work, commitment, and respect. You are offered a secure position with varied work in a good working environment. As a new employee, you will receive an individually adapted introduction to help you get started in the best way, you will continuously receive support and help from method supervisors and experienced colleagues, and you will have close contact with your immediate supervisor. Work duties Against the backdrop of demographic changes, the transition to new social services legislation, and the development of nearby care, we are working with new, preventive work methods. During 2025-2026, the Department of Care and Elderly Services conducted a pilot with social secretaries at the emergency department at Södra Älvsborgs Sjukhus two days per week. Experience shows that the emergency department is an effective arena for early identification of social needs, providing advice, directing people to preventive measures, and when necessary, quickly making decisions about support measures under the social services act for safe return home. During fall 2026, a work group will jointly develop working methods where social services is represented at the emergency department at SÄS for the entire Sjuhärad catchment area. The work will contribute to developing a more accessible, preventive, and coordinated social service in close collaboration with health and medical care. In your professional practice, you will represent all eight Sjuhärad municipalities but will be employed at the Department of Care and Elderly Services in Borås City. The position at the emergency department is 100%, but will be shared between two people at 50% each. During the time you are not at the emergency department, you will be part of an authority team at your regular workplace and have the opportunity to review appropriate tasks for the role within the scope of authority operations. As the positions are being developed during fall 2026, you need to be open to not having your work duties clearly defined, but rather see the opportunity to influence upcoming working methods. In this role, you will have a clear health-promoting and preventive approach, working with information, advice, and guidance, rather than traditional case management. The focus is to strengthen the individual's own resources and independence while delaying entry into elderly care for the individual's benefit. To provide individuals with the right help at the right time, you also need to master authority operations. We conduct assessments according to the IBiC model, Individual Needs in Focus, so it is a merit if you have experience with this. You will primarily work in close collaboration with a colleague in the same role and with staff at the emergency department, but also with other colleagues and operations. You will have the opportunity to help build a new working method and create more preventive work for the municipality's seniors. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education, with good expertise in social work related to elderly care and preventive work. Since you will be working in another care provider's arena, you need to be relationship-building and unpretentious, while at the same time being able to represent social services independently. Working at an emergency department also requires authority operations competence, great flexibility, pedagogical skills, and the courage to ask questions that may be perceived as sensitive. The ability to motivate behavioral change and to meet people in different life situations is central. You need to independently be able to plan, structure, and prioritize your work. Good knowledge of Finnish is a merit. A driver's license is a requirement. Application Interviews may be conducted during the application period. Welcome to us! Personal Assistant with Sign Language - Hourly Position

The Social Care Administration of Borås Municipality is responsible for the municipality's disability services, social psychiatry, and healthcare services for these target groups. With approximately 1,000 employees and 45 managers, we work continuously to improve the quality of our services for those we serve. About the Position The Social Care Administration is offering an hourly position where you have a unique opportunity to make a difference in another person's life! We are now seeking an hourly personal assistant for a man with autism who communicates through sign language. The assignment is to, based on the person's needs, provide support and create conditions for a meaningful and as independent life as possible. The user's home is your workplace, which is located in an area outside Borås. It would be helpful if you can get there with your own car, since bus schedules don't fully align with work hours. Currently, work hours are daytime 9-17, alternating weeks Monday through Thursday and alternating weeks Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Work hours may vary in the future with potentially shorter shifts, depending on the user's other activities. Work in the evenings and weekends may also be relevant in the future. The duration of the position is determined by the necessary decisions made regarding the user's services, as well as whether you and the user work well together. Work Tasks In your work as a personal assistant, you will help ensure that the person you support has a meaningful daily life characterized by participation. This is so the person can live a fulfilling life despite their disability. Work tasks are varied and include things that occur in a home as well as providing support with personal care and activities. You will primarily provide support in the person's daily activities, such as walks, leisure interests, swimming, and computer use. You communicate in sign language and provide support to the user to engage with various social matters. You need to be attentive to the person's needs and ready for work that requires great personal commitment. Social documentation is also part of the work tasks. The work involves a lot of physical activity since the person enjoys being outdoors and is active. This assistance assignment involves solo staffing, which means you will work independently. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has upper secondary education from a care and nursing program, children and leisure program, or equivalent education. As a person, you are cheerful, responsible, and attentive to people's different needs. You have good communication skills and are pedagogical in your approach. We value that you are flexible, solution-focused, and can adapt to the situation. It is also positive if you are playful and creative in your way of working. Simply put, we are looking for motivation and commitment. Therefore, we will place great emphasis on your ability to communicate with, support, and motivate the person, and to help us develop the activities going forward.
