The Department of Individual and Family Care is in an exciting phase where operations are changing and expanding to meet the needs of residents. About the Operation Based on a changing societal landscape and increased needs among youth with behavioral problems, IFO has consolidated its units working with young people with behavioral issues, criminality, and harmful use of alcohol or drugs under one umbrella called Youth Center. The units within Youth Center form a chain from preventive and outreach work to investigation, assessment, and treatment interventions at various levels. As a staff member in one of Youth Center's units, you can expect close and daily collaboration with various professional roles where you become an important part of the chain. The focus of Youth Center is to offer accessible, equitable, and cohesive support to the target group. We are now seeking a family therapist for our MST team, which is a team working with high-intensity open care treatment. MST addresses families with youth who have behavioral problems such as criminality, substance abuse, school problems, and/or aggression. MST is an evidence-based and intensive treatment program that focuses treatment on the environment where the youth is located—their home and family, school and its staff, the local area, and peers. Responsibilities As a family therapist in an MST team, you work with intensive family support where you meet families several times a week at times that suit them. Work is primarily conducted during daytime hours, but you must be flexible to adapt your work schedule to families' needs. The model includes families having access to an on-call telephone for support, which means paid on-call duty is part of the position. You have considerable opportunity to influence your own working hours. The work is free-flowing, flexible, and challenging, yet the model, team colleagues, and team leader provide substantial support for the therapist. The team has methodological supervision every week. For more information, visit: MST Sverige. Qualifications You hold a degree as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have other higher education that is assessed as equivalent by the employer. You have experience working with people in vulnerable situations through treatment work, as a social worker, or in some form of supportive or treatment assignment. You are flexible, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. You can work in a structured, goal-oriented, and independent manner with families and their networks. We are seeking someone who wants to work systemically and develop your skills in family work. You possess analytical abilities, and it is meritorious if you have experience in family work, family therapy, or cognitive therapy. Further education within the field is also desirable, preferably systemic education or other methods aimed at conducting qualified change work. It is important that you have strong verbal and written communication skills. Consultation and training occur partially in English, so good English proficiency is also necessary.
