We are now looking for you—a trained nursing assistant who wants to work with us in home care in Dalsjöfors or Fristad. The Care and Elderly Administration in Borås City works toward the goal that both younger and older residents in need of care, support, and services, as well as healthcare and preventive health work, shall have a good life every day. The administration consists of approximately 2,500 employees, of whom approximately 700 work in municipal home care. About the Operation Those of us who work in home care are a great team consisting of nursing assistants, care attendants, managers, coordinators, and home care coordinators. With us, men and women with different backgrounds work, which enriches our operations and broadens our expertise. Home Care Dalsjöfors operates from spacious and nice facilities at Dalsjövägen 25 in Dalsjöfors. Our clients live in Dalsjöfors and the surrounding area, where we primarily travel by car, on foot, or by e-bike. Home Care Fristad operates from large and nice facilities centrally located in Fristad. There are also good parking opportunities for you as an employee, and here we also travel by car, on foot, or by bike. Work Tasks Working in home care means doing something truly important. Work that is meaningful and enjoyable, where you make a difference every day! Therefore, it is important to us that you have a great interest in working with people. As a nursing assistant in home care, you work closely with people who need care and support in their own homes. Work tasks include, among other things, personal care, support during meals, social interaction, and walks. You will also perform healthcare tasks by delegation and document in our journal systems. With us, it is the service assistant who is primarily responsible for performing service tasks such as cleaning and laundry, so you can dedicate yourself to providing good care and creating fine relationships. As a nursing assistant in home care, you will also serve as a primary contact for care. This means you actively work to create secure relationships based on trust and individualized coordinated home care services. The work is varied and you work both independently and together with colleagues. The work requires great commitment and your active participation in developing and improving the operation. Working hours are scheduled for weekdays, evenings, and weekends, including major holidays. Qualifications You are a trained nursing assistant with an interest in working with people. To succeed in the role, you are responsible and engaged with the ability to put yourself in other people's situations. Through attentiveness to the individual's needs and good conduct, you create good and safe care and support. You have the ability to cooperate and create and maintain good relationships with clients, family members, and colleagues. The work requires that you can speak and write in Swedish. Our operations and documentation systems are a prerequisite for us to fulfill our mission, so you need to have basic digital competence. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. A valid driver's license (category B) is required. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant became a protected occupational title. This means that a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to use the title nursing assistant. You will need to show the professional certificate upon a potential employment. You apply for the certificate on the National Board of Health and Welfare website. Interviews take place continuously during the application period. Before a potential job offer, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be provided. We intend primarily to employ on a permanent basis, but a time-limited employment in the form of temporary work or a special fixed-term appointment may also be relevant.
