Now we're preparing for the future of social services Since fall 2025, the Care and Elderly Administration has been testing having social workers at health centers and emergency departments. The new work methods have been successful and will be made permanent. In addition to this, we are investigating the possibility of starting a reception unit. Therefore, we are now expanding our operations with more social workers. Therefore, the Care and Elderly Administration's public authority operations is seeking four new colleagues - two social workers for Team 12 (Norrby, Sandhult, Göta, Viskafors) and two for Team 34 (Hulta, Trandared, Brämhult, Dalsjöfors). About the Organization In our organization, approximately 50 social workers work divided into three teams based on geographic areas. Our offices are located at Ramnåsgatan 1 near Central Station and the Travel Center with beautiful Ramna Park nearby. Job Responsibilities As a social worker with us, you work to ensure that both younger and older people can live a good life every day. The work mainly involves meeting people, investigating, assessing, making decisions, and reconsidering decisions about services according to the Social Services Act. This includes individual meetings, consultations with hospitals, and cooperation with other staff, family members, and external authorities. You work independently but also in close cooperation with colleagues and other professionals and organizations. We conduct assessments according to the IBiC model, Individual Needs in Focus. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and good expertise in social work related to elderly care. Experience working in public authority operations is a merit. Your ability to be communicative, receptive, and solution-focused makes it easy for you to create and maintain good relationships. You consider it self-evident to collaborate and cooperate professionally with all your contacts. You need to be able to independently plan, structure, prioritize, and follow up on your work. It is also important that you enjoy working in an environment where your workday is varied, since some days are more intense than others and unexpected situations require flexibility and the ability to reprioritize. You are experienced in working with various IT systems and you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A driver's license is a requirement.
