The Swedish Language subject area at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is in a strong development phase. The subject has examination rights up to advanced level. Teaching is provided through standalone courses, courses in teacher education programs, master's programs, and commissioned education. Currently, 10 people work within the subject on full-time and part-time basis, including one professor. Research within the subject has particular strengths in literacy, students' writing development, and subject didactics and educational research. Responsibilities Responsibilities include overall responsibility for research within the subject, conducting own research, teaching, and supervision. The Professor is expected to contribute to developing the subject's research profile and to initiate, lead, and conduct research projects, including applications for external research funding. The role also includes supervising at various levels and contributing to the development of the research environment through collegial collaboration and research-informed education. The Professor is also responsible for developing the subject's role within teacher education with particular focus on subject didactics research and education, and the higher education pedagogical initiative Skrivlyftet at Mid Sweden University. Administrative tasks may also be included. The position includes conducting own research in accordance with the Faculty Board's guidelines for professors. Qualifications To be appointed as a professor, one must have demonstrated both scientific and pedagogical competence. The Role and Responsibilities As a technical specialist in electrical and automation systems at ONE Nordic Hydro, you'll be a key person in our delivery of services to hydropower facilities across the Nordic region. You'll be part of an experienced and competent team of project managers and technical experts working closely with our customers to execute projects and drive technical development in the hydropower sector. We are growing and looking for someone with knowledge and experience in electrical/automation and electrical power, preferably with a background in hydropower or similar operations. With us, you'll have the opportunity to work in a supplier role where you contribute to ensuring high quality in technical solutions and requirements management in complex and developing projects. In this role, you'll lead and participate in feasibility studies, develop technical specifications, and provide technical support throughout project execution – including dialogues and negotiations with customers and subcontractors. The projects encompass both investments in existing facilities and development of new technical solutions. To succeed in the role of technical specialist at One Nordic Hydro, we see that you have a degree from an engineering college or a civil engineering degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience. You have previously worked as a project manager, technical specialist, or in a leading design engineer role, and are accustomed to taking technical responsibility in complex assignments. Experience with commissioning is a merit, especially within hydropower or related industries. As a person, you are collaboration-oriented and enjoy working in a supplier role where you work closely with both customers and colleagues. You have a strong focus on safety, are driven by delivering quality in your assignments, and are motivated by working with challenging and developing tasks. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Travel is part of the position, and a valid driver's license is required.
