KTH is now seeking several individuals interested in working as exam proctors! Job Responsibilities As an exam proctor, you are responsible for the entire administration of exams in the exam hall, including attendance verification, admitting students, maintaining order, monitoring students throughout the entire exam period, and collecting exam papers at the end. You need to be attentive and keep detailed notes if any irregularities occur, as well as handle certain administrative tasks. Unexpected situations may sometimes arise that require stress resilience and a good sense of service. Additionally, exam proctors provide brief instructions to groups of students in both Swedish and English. It is important that you are well-informed and can clearly communicate the rules that apply during an exam. You therefore need to have good knowledge of KTH's internal guidelines regarding examinations, see Guideline on written examination in halls (kth.se). KTH provides a mandatory proctor orientation training in connection with recruitment for all newly hired proctors. Work as an exam proctor also requires certain physical efforts, such as fetching and delivering materials between different parts of campus, arranging tables and chairs, and some halls have tiered seating with level differences. Campus Valhallavägen is large with long distances between the exam material distribution point and the exam halls. KTH's academic year is divided into four study periods of seven weeks each, followed by one week of exam period. Additionally, there are four resit exam periods spread throughout the academic year. KTH's exam proctors work mainly during exam periods and occasionally during spot quizzes during study periods. Exams take place during daytime on weekdays, but also evenings and weekends occur.
