Registered Nurse
The Care and Elderly Services Department is one of the City of Borås' largest departments. Our healthcare organization consists of approximately 300 employees distributed across ten healthcare teams. We work in teams and cross-professionally with the patient's best interests in focus. Are you a registered nurse looking for rewarding and meaningful work? We are now recruiting registered nurses for both care and residential facilities and regular housing for our teams in Brämhult, Norrby/Sandhult, Dalsjöfors, and Centrum! Here you have the opportunity to grow in your role, whether you are newly graduated and seeking your first position as a registered nurse or have been working in the profession for a while. About the Operation With us, you will meet patients where they are—in their homes. This is work that requires independence and commitment. We work closely with experienced colleagues within both the nursing group and other professions. In the healthcare operation, there are good conditions for collaboration both within your own team and between teams. We help each other and continuously learn from one another. At the same time, in your role as a registered nurse, you have great freedom within responsibility to work independently and the opportunity to plan and perform your own work. When you start your employment with us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction that provides you with good conditions and a safe and stable start in your new position. We also offer mentorship after you have completed your introduction and when the time is right. We know that the opportunity to turn to an experienced and knowledgeable registered nurse for advice and support is appreciated. Job Responsibilities Your job responsibilities include assessing, planning, and structuring work with individual patients and their loved ones from a person-centered approach. You follow up and document according to applicable legislation. As a registered nurse, you work independently and have patient responsibility. You work in close collaboration with your colleagues such as registered nurses, assistant nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants. If you work at a care and residential facility, you also collaborate with the unit manager and care staff at the facility as well as with the ward responsible physician. The same applies if you work with patients in regular housing, i.e., collaboration with the unit manager and care staff in home services. Collaboration with various healthcare providers such as hospitals and health centers is part of daily work. Your job responsibilities include developing the operation and guiding and training care staff in healthcare services. We know that work as a registered nurse is meaningful, varied, and developmental, but also that it can occasionally be challenging. This is why good working conditions are especially important to us, and we create this through comfort, team spirit, and work joy and by trusting and supporting each other in daily work. Qualifications You are a registered nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare, and we prefer that you have some experience in your profession. Experience working with our target groups is a merit. You have good communication skills, enjoy working with people, and have the will to make a difference for those we serve. We value that you are confident in yourself and in your nursing role and that you can work independently. You are responsible and engaged in your work, professional in your assessments and decisions, and you adapt easily to changing circumstances and new information. In the role, you need to have a good overview of current tasks and services; the ability to independently organize and follow up on your work is therefore important. We place great emphasis on your ability to collaborate and find solutions in agreement with all your contacts, whether it involves family members, staff within primary care, inpatient care, or other actors. You have a collegial approach and contribute to good morale in the group. Since the role of registered nurse involves leading others, you need the ability to explain and guide in a pedagogical manner, educate, and inform. You express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing and have good experience with IT-based medical record systems. If you have specialist training in geriatrics, district care, dementia, psychiatry, or palliative care, this is a merit and a specialist position may be relevant. We require that you have a category B driver's license. Before an employment offer is made, a certificate from the police criminal records registry must be presented. As we develop our IT security within the City of Borås, you must also ensure that you have Freja eID. Play to Learn, Live and Succeed is what represents our preschool and the names of our departments. We believe in all children's ability to want to and be able to learn, where we work to ensure all children want to and dare to explore. Each individual should have the opportunity to become responsible and empathetic individuals who function well in a democratic society. Education should be characterized by children's interests and opportunities for new experiences, experiences and learning. Växthusets Preschool is located in the village of Bredared, a short distance outside Borås, with proximity to the forest and its fantastic opportunities. Nature and the local environment are natural elements and a major source of inspiration in our teaching. We have two yards that we divide between during the day. Our education is based on the preschool curriculum, Lpfö. During the 2026/27 school year, we will deepen development work on language based on the Language Plan with the goal of developing our own language policy at the preschool. Work Tasks Your tasks as a preschool teacher are to work together with the team to create the best possible conditions for each individual child's development and learning. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for planning and implementing teaching according to applicable regulations. You use documentation as a method to follow up, analyze and evaluate results from your planned teaching. The analysis then forms the basis for developing teaching and education based on the preschool curriculum and the preschool's prioritized goals. You also have a good ability to create education based on each child's interests and needs and give each child the opportunity to succeed based on their own circumstances. You have pedagogical development time scheduled where there is time for reflection in the team, collaborative learning and individual planning. We have pedagogical Mondays every other week in the schedule, which means all staff work until 18:30 every other Monday. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a certified preschool teacher and who, together with the children at Växthusets, want to explore and discover. You find it easy to collaborate but can also work independently, and you see development and quality work as a natural and stimulating part of the assignment. You have a positive and open approach to everyone you meet and thus contribute to creating trusting relationships with everyone you meet in your professional role. As a pedagogue, you are engaged, driven, innovative, creative and see play as your primary tool for lifelong learning. You create conditions for sustainable development and concepts such as teaching, democracy, inclusion and accessibility are important in your work. You have a good ability to see all children's strengths and see it as obvious to work based on each child's and group of children's needs. We would like to see that you have good digital skills as digital is our primary tool for, for example, documentation and systematic quality work. It is also a merit if you have training/experience working with TAKK and visual supports. Since the preschool is located in the countryside, a driver's license and car are a must in order to get to and from Växthusets Preschool. You who have not yet received your certification or are taking your exam during the coming term are also warmly welcome to apply for the position (until you can present your certification, the employment is fixed-term). The position is filled subject to the required decisions being made.
