We are now looking for a dedicated neighborhood coordinator to join our team working with Future Square - an activity that offers young adults support regarding work and education. As a neighborhood coordinator, you will have an important role in building relationships, promoting the activity, collaborating with local actors, and supporting young adults on their path toward work and education.
The Employment Administration organizes socially important activities within social services and the labor market and works strategically to ensure that as many Borås residents as possible achieve and work toward self-sufficiency and appropriate income. The Administration has approximately 240 employees and is responsible for and finances approximately 350 labor market policy positions.
About the Activity
Future Square is a physical meeting place located in Hässleholmen, Hulta, and Norrby where young adults are supported with preparations for work, finding the right education, or receiving support in contact with various parts of Borås City. We work closely with associations, businesses, and other actors in the area to create a relevant and inclusive activity. Future Square is co-financed by the European Union, which enables a range of interventions and activities. With us, you become part of a team with colleagues who have different skills and experiences and who all share a strong commitment to our target group.
Job Responsibilities
As a neighborhood coordinator, you will be a local ambassador for Future Square and an important link to the local area. In this role, you focus on building trust, creating participation, and contributing to more young adults finding their way to work and studies.
You will promote Future Square and its purpose in an inspiring and accessible way. Furthermore, you will distribute information about the activity's programs to young people, local actors, and collaboration partners. Through your presence and commitment, you will motivate young adults to participate in Future Square's activities, while also capturing their ideas, needs, and feedback.
As a neighborhood coordinator, you represent Future Square at local events and arrangements, both as an inspirer and information provider. You contribute to welcoming hospitality by being present, answering questions, and providing support when needed. The role also includes participating in staffing Future Square's drop-in activities.
Work will primarily take place during daytime hours, but evenings and weekends may occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is studying for a post-secondary education and who has the opportunity to combine your studies with this assignment of approximately eight hours per week. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of one of the areas Hässleholmen, Hulta, or Norrby. Your knowledge of the area and its networks gives you a natural understanding of young people's daily lives and the opportunities that exist locally. It is desirable if you have experience with or engagement in association work, as this often contributes to valuable contacts and a good understanding of local collaboration. It is meritorious if you are interested in and have knowledge of marketing.
