JOB DUTIES We welcome 17 junior doctors (AT), with start date 2027-02-15, to Helsingborg Hospital! Three of these positions may be filled as research AT positions provided there are sufficiently qualified applicants. Otherwise, they will be filled as regular AT positions. Research AT involves active research work for six months in addition to clinical service. The research should be conducted at Helsingborg Hospital and/or Lund University, but research conducted at another location can also be approved. More information about research AT can be found at: http://www.skane.se/organisation-politik/Jobba-hos-oss/sok-at/forskar-at/ AT at Helsingborg Hospital is 18 months; nine months in internal medicine and surgical specialties including emergency care and anesthesia/ICU, three months in psychiatry, and six months in primary care. You rotate between departments and the emergency department. In the department, you work alongside a senior physician, specialist, or experienced resident and perform standard junior doctor tasks under supervision. During your AT time, regular lectures and recurring training days are arranged, as well as a training retreat (Regional AT Meeting). Each placement has a responsible study director, and you will be assigned a personal mentor. You will also have the opportunity to have a personal coach who follows you throughout your entire AT time. Working hours consist of scheduled regular working hours, Monday through Friday, plus on-call duty that occurs on evenings, nights, and weekends. During on-call shifts, you as an AT doctor are never alone—there is always a licensed colleague on site. Our AT doctors fulfill an important function in our operations, and you will quickly discover that you are a valued colleague! We hope that your time with us will be so inspiring that you will want to stay with us even after your licensing. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a Swedish medical degree or a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare to undertake AT. Swedish language proficiency at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. Applicants with education outside the EU must complete the course on Swedish Society and Constitutional Law/Constitutional Law with a passing grade before starting AT service. We want you to apply online and attach the following documents: * CV containing all post-secondary education and all healthcare experience. State title, clinic, and correct employment dates. * A personal letter where you have the opportunity to present yourself and explain why you are interested in AT with us. If you are applying for a research AT position, you should also explain why you are seeking such a position. * Medical degree or grade transcript from Ladok (if at least 300 credits, not a registration certificate). Attach the document, not just a link to the university's website. If you studied medicine abroad, you must attach a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare confirming that you are eligible to apply for AT, as well as a certificate of your Swedish language proficiency at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale (unless you completed your secondary education in Sweden). * If you are applying for a research AT position, you must also attach a certificate from your research supervisor and provide a plan for which project you will conduct during six months. The plan should cover approximately four A4 pages. It is an advantage if you are registered as a research student at Lund University. If you have no clinical experience, provide people who can assess you in another employee role. Also, preferably provide a reference who is or has been your current supervisor. * If you hold a valid work permit from the Swedish Migration Agency that allows AT service, you must attach this. * Any other qualifications you mention in your application must be verified with certificates at any interview. IMPORTANT! You cannot complete your application after the final application deadline 2026-09-18. Incomplete applications will not be considered. We review applications on a rolling basis.
