Your Mission – Authority Exercising with a Focus on Change As a social worker in Investigation and Follow-up – Children and Youth, you work with authority exercising, but above all with creating conditions for real change. Duties You meet children and families in both acute and long-term situations. You investigate, assess, and make decisions – but you do it with the relationship, participation, and the child's best interest in focus. Together with the family and people important to the child, you work to find solutions that hold over time. Signs of Safety is an important foundation in our work and we see the network as a central resource in change work. Collaboration with schools, BUP, police, civil society, and other actors is therefore a natural part of everyday work. With us, you never work alone when a case is complex. When the situation requires it, we have two case workers together, with close support from your team leader and manager. You will, among other things: - investigate and assess children's and families' needs - make decisions and follow up on interventions according to SoL and LVU - actively work with children's participation and influence - use the network as a resource in change work - conduct motivation and change work together with children and families - collaborate with internal and external actors - work preventively and promotively from a holistic perspective - contribute to developing new working methods and future social services A Team Close to You When You Need It We believe in close leadership, high trust, and clear working methods. The operations are divided into three target groups: 0-6 years, 7-17 years, and young people up to 19 years, which provides opportunities for in-depth expertise and more target-group-adapted work. Each team has a team leader who is close to the operational work and provides support in everyday situations. Your direct manager is responsible for two teams and works closely with the team leaders. This means you have access to support when you need it – while also being trusted to take responsibility for your own task. We believe that you: - are confident in your professional role and can combine lawful authority exercising with a respectful and relational approach - have the ability to build trust even in difficult situations - believe in people's resources and potential for change - are curious, attentive, and genuinely interested in the child's and family's perspective - enjoy collaboration and see networks and cooperation as important parts of social work - take responsibility for your task and can work independently - want to develop and contribute to new working methods - see opportunities in the transition to a more accessible, preventive, and present social service Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Social Work (Socionomexamen) - Category B driving license and driving experience - Interest in relationship-based social work in line with the transition to the new Social Services Act (SoL) It is an asset if you have: - experience with authority exercising in children and youth services - BBIC basic training - experience with Signs of Safety - knowledge of MI (Motivational Interviewing) - experience with network work and cooperation with civil society Working in the City of Helsingborg Do you want to help create a better city together with Helsingborg residents?
