Personal Assistant Temp Position Sought for Active Man in Örbyhus
Hi! I'm a 39-year-old man based in Örbyhus. I have a CP injury and use a Permobil and wheelchair. This means I need help with most things in my daily life – for example, personal care, transfers, cooking, and other practical tasks. For me, personal assistance is primarily about getting the right support to live my life the way I want to. I don't have extensive medical needs, but I'm looking for someone who can be my arms and legs in everyday life and at the same time understand when to be nearby and when to step back. A bit about me I live an active life and enjoy traveling, going to festivals, listening to music, having a glass of wine, and engaging in both planned and spontaneous activities. Music is particularly close to my heart – I've previously worked as a music producer and still work with music to some extent. I've also previously run my own assistance company and therefore have extensive experience with personal assistance. For me, it's important that the assistance functions as genuine personal assistance: you're there to make my life possible, while we also need to enjoy each other's company and function as a good team. Who am I looking for? I'm looking for both female and male assistants. What matters most to me is your personality and that we work well together, with the possibility for you to work extra hours as needed. I believe the person who fits with me is open-minded, secure, and flexible. You need to appreciate that no two days are necessarily the same and be comfortable with my life sometimes being spontaneous. Since I live an active life, you also need to have the ability and energy to keep up with both everyday activities, travel, and other adventures. An interest in music is a big plus, as is enjoying travel and discovering new things, but it's not a requirement. Responsibilities As my personal assistant, you help me with things I can't do myself. This can include personal care, transfers, cooking, cleaning, and other daily tasks. You also accompany me and assist during activities, travel, and other parts of my social life. Working Hours Work is arranged in longer shifts, typically 09.00–09.00 the following day. It's therefore important that you're comfortable working longer continuous shifts and with the work schedule arrangement that the position entails. 🌱 To thrive with us To thrive and grow in the role of personal assistant, you need to have a well-founded view of humanity where the equal worth of all people is self-evident. You have courage, commitment, and a desire to make a difference for someone else. Good self-awareness, attentiveness, and flexibility are also important qualities. 🏢 About Aberia Personlig Assistans We are an employer that is small enough to be personal – and large enough to make a difference. With us, you get an accessible manager, support in your daily work, supervision, wellness benefits, a collective agreement, and many educational opportunities. 🌍 Our Operations Our customers are located throughout Sweden – children, young people, adults, families, and municipalities. 🌐 Part of Something Bigger Aberia is part of NHC Group, a Nordic corporation with broad expertise in LSS, personal assistance, preschools, and elderly care.
