The Communications Department is part of the municipal management office, where you join the management group and report to the Municipal Director. As a manager, you are responsible for the communications department's operations, budget, and personnel. You lead, coach, and develop 18 employees with various competencies and areas of responsibility. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic degree in communications, journalism, media and communications science, political science, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have several years of experience in qualified communications work and documented experience of working strategically with communications issues. Furthermore, you have experience from previous management and leadership roles with personnel responsibility, as well as experience in crisis communications and change and development work. You have a good understanding of how communications can contribute to operational development and have experience from municipal operations or other politically governed organization. We see that you have experience working in a management group and preferably have worked close to political leadership.
