Tureberg School is a school located within walking distance of Sollentuna center. The school has approximately 230 students in grades F-9. We also have a motor disabilities unit with approximately 25 students with physical mobility limitations, as well as municipal teaching groups for approximately 40 students within the autism spectrum. Job Responsibilities As a teaching assistant at our motor disabilities unit, you are an important support to students with physical mobility limitations of varying degrees. You are part of a team of approximately 4-5 other teaching assistants and a mentor for a group of approximately 8 students. You actively help students with what they need assistance with during the school day. This includes pedagogical tasks but also everyday matters such as actively adjusting communication aids, helping with outerwear, toilet visits, medication, and meals for students who need it. At the beginning and end of the school day, all teaching assistants at the motor disabilities unit collaborate to ensure safe reception and handoff to school buses. You use AAC and Tobii computers flexibly, as several of our students benefit from and in some cases are entirely dependent on these tools to communicate. During lessons, you follow the teacher's instructions and actively support students in their learning. During students' breaks and free time, you are active in the activities. You work with multiple students during a day and are responsible for, when needed, handing over and communicating daily mood and new or changed working methods and approaches to colleagues. The assignment is very much about maintaining good relationships with students, their parents, and others in students' daily surroundings. Your role includes noticing and highlighting student progress. These can be things that for others are not particularly remarkable, but for these students become very meaningful. Resource Pedagogue Hourly Substitute
Häggviks Gymnasium consists of both an adapted gymnasium with both IV and national programs, as well as a resource gymnasium with introduction programs and national programs. Teaching takes place in small teaching groups, based on students' knowledge level, learning pace, and social conditions. We work with clear, structured, and predictable pedagogy, to create both security and a desire to learn. With competent and engaged pedagogues, we base our education on each student's abilities and conditions. We are seeking engaged and competent resource pedagogues who want to support, motivate, and encourage students with NPF diagnosis and intellectual disabilities in both schoolwork and social situations. You participate in teaching delivery and support students during breaks and scheduled activity breaks. Close collaboration with teachers is crucial to creating an effective and supportive learning environment. You may also work at after-school programs and KTT according to curriculum goals and individual implementation plans. As an hourly substitute, your placement will be based on organizational needs. This requires flexibility in meeting students who need varying levels of support. Common among the student group are hearing and visual impairments, which means that students need technical aids in their daily lives.
