Turebergsskolan is a school located within walking distance from Sollentuna centrum. The school has approximately 230 students in grades F-9. We also have a mobility assistance unit with approximately 25 students with mobility impairments and municipal special education classes for approximately 40 students within the autism spectrum. The school has well-functioning values-based work and actively works to create an accessible school for every student. Our employees are characterized by great commitment and high competence. Job Responsibilities
As a teaching assistant in our special education class, you are important support for students with autism spectrum diagnoses. You work together with the teacher in a lower or middle school class of approximately 5-10 students. You support students with what they need help with during the school day. This includes pedagogical tasks but also everyday matters such as being in the right place, supporting peer interaction during breaks and leisure time, assisting with bathroom visits and/or meal situations for students who need it.
You contribute to creating a positive and developing work environment with a balance between care and learning. You therefore work solution-focused and relationship-building to better understand when and how you need to step in and support, or challenge students further. As a teaching assistant, you treat all students with respect and professionalism.
During lessons, you follow the teacher's instructions and support students in their learning. During student breaks and leisure time, you are actively engaged in the activities.
Examples of supporting work tasks in the pedagogical environment:
- organize/arrange materials
- help students focus on tasks
- encourage and affirm students' effort in schoolwork
- accompany students in transitions that occur during the day, for example to the dining hall and school taxi
- support students in play and social interaction during breaks and leisure time
The assignment involves maintaining good relationships with students, their parents, and others in the students' daily circle. Your role includes observing and highlighting student progress. These may be things that others don't find particularly remarkable, but for these students become very meaningful.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, structured, and takes responsibility for your assignment. You have a talent for building trusting relationships, enjoy working with others, and actively contribute to a positive and safe environment for students.
