Your Main Responsibilities Will Be Contribute to the installation and commissioning of beamline instrumentation, including optics, sample holders, and detectors. Contribute to the implementation of relevant software for tomographic reconstruction and image analysis, in collaboration with the Beamline team and other internal resources. Drive your own research program, within national and international collaborations, focusing on materials for sustainability. Present and publish your research results internally and at conferences, workshops, and in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Engage with MAX IV's user community and contribute to the team's outreach activities. To Succeed in This Role, You Should Have the Following Qualifications A doctorate degree in a STEM field. Experience in materials science research or development of tomographic methods, with a genuine scientific interest in a materials science area (e.g., structural materials, energy materials, geology, functional materials for sustainability). Experience with experimental research, focusing on microscopy and imaging, preferably using X-ray radiation. This includes practical work with instrumentation, commissioning, as well as data collection and analysis. Documented ability to drive research projects from proposal to publication, with a collaborative approach. Experience presenting at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Fluent English—both spoken and written. The Following Are Considered Merits Experience and ability to prioritize and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment at a large user facility. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Skåne University Hospital (SUS) has approximately 900 employees and includes gynecological and obstetric services in both Lund and Malmö. A research group is led by a professor specializing in sexual, reproductive, and perinatal health. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUS is one of the three largest maternity care providers in Sweden. The postpartum ward in Lund is a highly specialized unit for pre- and postnatal care. We receive patients from throughout southern Sweden who have experienced complications during their pregnancy from week 22+0 onwards. We work closely with the Delivery Unit, Neonatal Unit, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The postpartum ward has 26 care beds: eight for pregnant women with complications and 18 for postpartum patients with complications or whose infants are being cared for in the neonatal unit.
