Join us in a key role at an independent knowledge organization with strong ties to agriculture and a broad network within academia, business, and society. You'll drive knowledge development and innovative solutions within some of agriculture and the food system's most important future challenges. This recruitment is part of a planned generational transition. You'll work closely with our current R&D Manager to learn the operations, organization, and collaborations, while gradually taking on greater responsibility. In 2027, when our current R&D Manager retires, you'll take over leadership of the R&D operations. About the role You'll take a central role in Hushållningssällskapet Skåne's development. Our R&D operations are closely integrated with the organization's other activities and will contribute to developing both existing operations and new services, working methods, and business areas based on our goals, strategies, and the needs of agriculture and the green industries. The role combines strategic responsibility with operational work in our research, development, and innovation projects. You'll lead and develop the R&D department, work with our project managers, and personally initiate, drive, and participate in projects. Projects are often carried out in collaboration with colleagues and specialist expertise from other parts of the organization, as well as with external partners in academia, business, and society. This way, we connect research and innovation with the organization's knowledge, needs, and development opportunities. The R&D department currently consists of an R&D Manager and two employees (researchers/project managers) and forms the core of a broader R&D operation, where project managers and specialists from other parts of the organization both lead and participate in R&D projects. As our next R&D Manager, you'll play an important role in building on the operations and developing the department, with the ambition to grow to a core team of five people within a few years. Your role is based on some of our most prioritized areas: Sustainable agriculture Digital agriculture Climate & water Food security You will, among other things: Lead and develop R&D operations together with the current manager, in line with Hushållningssällskapet Skåne's goals and strategies. Set strategic direction and identify new opportunities within research, development, and innovation. Initiate and develop R&D initiatives that strengthen existing operations and create opportunities for new services and business areas. Further develop collaborations with academia, business, and societal actors. Personally lead and participate in projects from idea, partnership, and financing to implementation and utilization. Ensure that knowledge and results from R&D projects are translated into concrete benefits, in close collaboration with colleagues and specialists throughout the organization.
