Family Therapist for Support and Treatment Unit

The unit currently has nine family therapists and one family support coordinator, four people in the school social work team, one family counselor, and three curators at the family center. This position is placed in family support, where we work with individually tailored support services based on assignments and goals from social services, open interventions without decisions, and group activities for parents and children. The assignments may be based on relationship and communication problems within the family, parents'/caregivers' difficulties in understanding, meeting and guiding their children, or behavioral problems in children and young people. The position also involves offering enhanced support as a time-limited enhanced intervention to foster families to strengthen the foster family's care capacity and prevent breakdowns. WORK TASKS As a family therapist, you work by building relationships with the families you meet through trust and confidence to create conditions for change. Family therapy is conducted on assignment from investigating social workers with determined change goals or on assignment without assistance decisions. You conduct your work in the environments deemed most appropriate, which may be in meeting rooms, in the homes of our families, or other environments. You develop an implementation plan for the assignment and work based on evidence- and knowledge-based methods, a systemic approach, and other methods adapted to families' needs. Cooperation is an important part of the assignment, as there is often a need for interventions from and coordination with several different actors. Involving the family's network is a natural part of your work to increase children's security and create conditions for support to families over time. Interventions may include assessments, observations, contact support, and individual support conversations. Department Manager for Forensic Psychiatry Unit 80

Forensic Psychiatry in Värmland is in an exciting development phase. We are now seeking a department manager for a one-year fixed-term position at unit 80 in Kristinehamn. Your Workplace Forensic Psychiatry serves individuals referred for forensic psychiatric care. Operations are conducted in Kristinehamn and Karlstad. The service is in an expansion phase and encompasses a total of 42 inpatient beds in Kristinehamn and Karlstad, of which 10 are in security class 2 and 32 in security class 3.
