Södermalmsskolan is part of the central school district and is a grades F–9 school with approximately 850 students and many competent staff members. The facilities and schoolyard are divided into F–3, 4–6, and 7–9 sections, where each level has its own naturally defined area with space for play and creativity. Kristinehamn Municipality has approximately 24,000 residents and is located on the shore of Lake Vänern in Värmland. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher, you will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction for grades 7–9 in accordance with the current curriculum and course syllabus. Collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues is an important part of the role, and together with other educators in your grade-level team, you will be responsible for developing the school's operations so that each student has the best possible conditions for development and learning. You will be part of a team where you share experiences, expertise, ideas, and job satisfaction. We also see pedagogical documentation as an integral part of our systematic quality work and operational development. We are now seeking a German teacher at 50%. Full-time employment may be offered depending on possible combinations with other subjects. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Qualifications • Teacher certification for grades 7–9 in German. For permanent employment, you must be qualified for the position. • Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. • Experience working with children who require special support (desirable) • Experience working with language and knowledge-developing teaching methods (desirable) • Knowledge of digital learning platforms (desirable) Personal Qualifications: We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who enjoys working together with colleagues to create a safe and developmental learning environment for students. You are relationship-focused and have an ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues alike. As a person, you are self-directed and take responsibility for your work, while also being organized and able to plan, structure, and follow up on your instruction effectively. Furthermore, you are goal- and results-oriented with a focus on students' knowledge development and achievement of learning objectives. You have good pedagogical insight and adapt your instruction based on students' different needs and circumstances. You are also quality-conscious and continuously work to develop and improve your instruction while contributing to the school's shared improvement efforts. Employment Type: Permanent position.
