Your Workplace Department 9 is a geriatric internal medicine ward specializing in elderly patients. Diseases treated here include COPD, heart failure, diabetes, and infections. Many patients have a combination of multiple diseases, which we are particularly skilled at managing. We work person-centered with care that takes into account the complex care needs that arise from multimorbidity and natural aging. Patients come to us through the emergency department, other care units, or as direct admissions via mobile teams. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) - Psychological Defence Unit (MPF) protects the open and democratic society and freedom of opinion by identifying, analyzing, and countering improper information influence and other misleading information directed at Sweden or Swedish interests. The Agency was established on January 1, 2022, and has offices in Solna and Karlstad. There are five departments: the Director General's Staff, the Operations Department, the Capability Development Department, the Administrative Department, and the Communications Department. About the Workplace Our care facilities are located in central Karlstad as well as in Skattkärr, Väse, Molkom, and Vålberg. Our care facilities offer elderly people secure housing when support and care needs can no longer be met in their own homes.
