Master Planning Lead for Our Client
Why You Matter Our client is strengthening its planning capability and is now looking for a Master Planning Lead who wants to help build something that truly works. This is a role with a clear mandate to shape how the company plans at the tactical level, with the master plan as the hub and decision-making tools. The assignment is about creating a data-driven foundation and ensuring that the MPS is the living, credible steering document it's meant to be. Few roles offer that combination of analytical rigor, operational closeness, and real impact. About the Company Our client is an established, privately owned industrial company with operations in several production units and annual revenue of over 650 MSEK. They deliver advanced injection-molded plastic systems and components to European industry and count world-leading manufacturers among their customers. Ownership is long-term, and the culture is characterized by a genuine interest in doing things better. Our Culture The company builds a culture that doesn't settle for the familiar. Employees are encouraged to think for themselves, think differently, and think ahead. Challenging what's established isn't a project or initiative—it's how they work every day. With respect, engagement, and accountability, always with the customer in focus. Focus of Your Role The core of the assignment is to own and develop the planning function. This means the MPS is always up to date, realistic, and grounded in real conditions, and that it's used as an active steering instrument rather than a document that lives its own life. It's about analyzing capacity and utilization, reconciling customer forecasts and procurement needs, and catching risks and imbalances before they become problems. In this work, you also drive the S&OP process and ensure the right decisions are made in the right forums, with the right information. In concrete terms, the role means driving master planning and ensuring that the MPS reflects reality, keeping capacity, materials, and staffing aligned in a cohesive planning perspective, leading S&OP and facilitating cross-functional planning meetings, building scenarios and forecasts that support business decision-making, monitoring forecast accuracy, plan stability, and service levels, and ensuring high quality in master data while managing EDI flows and customer forecasts. What We're Looking For We're seeking someone with many years of experience in master planning or tactical planning in manufacturing industry. You understand how an MPS is built, how it connects with customer orders, capacity, and material flow, and you know what's required for it to be reliable over time. You are analytical and structured, experienced in working data-driven in ERP and planning environments, and have experience with capacity planning and scenario work. You also have a sense for how the master plan needs to be communicated and anchored across an organization with multiple functions and interests. Experience from companies with multiple production units is a plus, as is knowledge of Power BI or similar analytical tools. As a person, you are confident, communicative, and skilled at building alignment in cross-functional settings. You can explain the consequences of planning decisions in a way that lands, and you're comfortable taking ownership of the bigger picture. Is This the Right Place for You? This is a role for someone who wants to truly own their process and make a real difference in how an industrial company steers its operations forward. As Master Planning Lead, you'll have the mandate to shape the master planning process from the ground up, create the stability and foresight the company needs, and be the person who holds the tactical perspective together. It's a role that suits you if you enjoy being close to operations, like solving complex planning challenges, and want the space to develop and improve over the long term. Good to Know Placement: On site, Jönköping/Småland Reports to: Operations Director We're meeting candidates on an ongoing basis—show your interest soon. Questions?
