The Role of Section Manager Technology and Systems In the coming years, JLT will undertake several major initiatives in traffic, infrastructure, and technology development. New vehicles, traffic procurement, and enhanced digital services place high demands on our systems and technical capabilities. We're now seeking a section manager who wants to be part of developing the systems and technology that make public transportation work—today and in the future. As section manager, you will be responsible for a newly formed section that brings together JLT's system administrators. You will lead, develop, and create conditions for a team with high competence and strong commitment. The role involves personnel, operational, and budget responsibility for the section with approximately ten employees. You will have overall responsibility for JLT's systems and technology, working with administration, development, procurement, and quality assurance of business-critical systems. You will also be responsible for vendor collaboration and contribute to developing efficient approaches to system management in close cooperation with operations, Region Jönköping's IT Center, and external partners. As section manager, you will participate in JLT's management group and IT steering committee. You will report to the Director of Traffic. This is a permanent full-time position with start date by agreement. Your Future Workplace At JLT, we have a real mission—to connect the entire region. We are located in modern facilities at Werket in central Jönköping. Your Profile We are looking for you—a confident and communicative leader with experience leading operations in system administration, IT, or digital development. You have higher education in IT or equivalent education and experience. You have management experience and are accustomed to leading employees through trust, clarity, and strong collaboration skills. We would appreciate it if you have experience working in a business-focused IT role where you have been responsible for administration, operations, and development of business-critical systems. For this role, it is an advantage to have experience with IT system procurement, vendor management, and contract follow-up. You also have experience with project work, preferably as a client or participant in steering committees. We would appreciate it if you are structured, have strong analytical abilities, and can translate technical possibilities into business value. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
