The department has operations at Campus Sundsvall and Campus Östersund. The department educates and conducts research in pedagogy, psychology, and social work. Duties The research project is at the intersection of social psychology and sociolinguistics and examines how accents function as social signals. The focus is on social perception, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors in relation to foreign accents. The research addresses questions about stereotypes, discrimination, and social inclusion from Swedish and international perspectives, with a consistent gender perspective throughout. The project is interdisciplinary and has connections to work and organizational psychology, political science, gender studies, and research on integration and belonging. Methodologically, the project is based primarily on experimental studies and psychometric approaches, with the possibility of also applying neuroscientific methods. As an occupational therapist in central Östersund, you will work from our new premises at Österängsparken, and in Torvalla from the office on Nävervägen. Both locations are centrally situated in their respective areas with good bus connections. You will have your own office space and work in a close team with other occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and district nurses on a daily basis, which creates good cohesion and collaboration. The unit manager, nursing assistants, and home care staff are also located in these offices, which contributes to a centered and smooth work day. In your work, you will assist residents both in special housing (SÄBO) and in home health care. The positions are full-time (100%), and you will work Monday through Friday, 08:00-17:00. We have annual working hours, which provides flexibility in your working time, provided the work permits it. Expected start is as soon as possible or during the fall. Your New Job As an occupational therapist, you will plan, lead, and carry out rehabilitation work. You are the one who assesses needs and creates conditions for individuals to live as meaningful a life as possible by implementing the support measures they need. The work includes prescribing aids, delegating and coaching staff and family members. In your work, you collaborate closely with physiotherapists and district nurses, and work closely with other licensed professionals and support staff within the area's home care teams and the special housing facilities we serve. The work includes case reviews and collaboration with colleagues where there is great opportunity for collegial support. Additionally, professional development meetings for all occupational therapists in the municipality are held 2-3 times per term for competency development purposes.
