The Surgery Clinic is one of the largest operations at Centralsjukhuset Kristianstad and consists of outpatient services with vascular, upper/lower gastroenterology, and breast/plastic patients. We care for patients with acute surgical conditions, and several of our patients have oncology diagnoses. We provide both pre- and postoperative care. Development within the specialty is advancing; surgical techniques and medical treatments are becoming increasingly complex and simultaneously more accessible to a larger number of patients. We work closely with the Gynecological Surgery, Ear-Nose-Throat department located on the same floor. We have knowledgeable and committed staff, and our goal is to always keep the patient in focus. We are a large team with different professional categories working closely together around the patient. Our department pharmacist assists the nurses by ordering medications, ensuring all medications are in stock, and refilling medication carts for each team.
