You are part of the medical expertise and contribute that perspective to the team. You are responsible for medication monitoring, conduct medical assessments, and provide supportive conversations based on your expertise. The work is versatile and you work with the child in focus, from start to goal. This means you will have close collaboration with different professional disciplines and external cooperation with, for example, schools, social services, and other care partners. About the Workplace BUP in Västmanland is county-wide with clinics in Västerås, Köping, Sala, and Fagersta. There are also specialist units, inpatient beds, and an emergency clinic. Our goal is to offer care adapted to each child's specific needs. We work based on evidence and proven experience and are characterized by a health-promoting approach. Those who come to BUP in Västmanland have serious mental health issues with extensive functional impairment that cannot be treated in primary care. At the Västerås clinic, about forty employees work, distributed among psychologists, doctors, social workers, nurses, special education teacher, medical secretary, and occupational therapists. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have a strong interest in working with children with mental health issues. It is also a great plus if you have relevant further training or experience working with children, young people, or families where the children have special needs.
