The Women's Healthcare Operational Unit (VO) in Malmö is one of the country's leading teaching units with proud traditions in obstetric and gynecological care. The unit also conducts exciting research and development activities. The obstetric department currently has ten delivery rooms, eight beds for hospitalized pregnant patients, fifteen postpartum beds at BB family, and eight beds at BB home. The postpartum unit has twenty-eight postpartum beds for women and children who have had a complicated delivery. You work together as a team with nursing assistants and physicians. We also have close collaboration with the delivery unit and neonatal care, ensuring that patients receive good and secure care with us.
The postpartum unit cares for newly delivered women and children born from week 28 of pregnancy. Here you meet women from different cultures with varying care needs. Our goal is that everyone feels welcome and receives the care they need. Staffing is the same around the clock.

WORK TASKS
With us, you become an important part of our collective effort to build the future of postpartum care in Malmö! We value family and would like you to have a genuine interest in women's healthcare with special focus on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and the new family.
As an employee with us, you are part of a multidisciplinary team where you work closely with nursing assistants and the newborn family. Daily rounds are conducted in collaboration with obstetricians and pediatricians. A large part of your work involves informing, advising, supporting, and confirming new parents. Since we have admissions and discharges every day, the work pace varies, making your work varied and exciting.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you as a licensed midwife or nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. If you are a nurse with a desire to study to become a midwife in the future, we see that as valuable.
As a person, you are attentive, empathetic, and have good interpersonal skills with both patients and colleagues. You contribute to a good work environment through both commitment and a positive attitude. For you it is self-evident that we all help each other and collaborate with flexibility to achieve the best care quality for our patients. Furthermore, you are comfortable handling a high work pace when needed and can adapt your work to changes in operations. We place great importance on personal suitability.
