JOB DUTIES
As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure.
In your role, you are responsible for care and rehabilitation of inpatients. We provide highly specialized care, which means we often receive patients at an early stage, frequently directly from intensive care with continued need for tracheostomy and respiratory support. You then follow the patient throughout the entire rehabilitation process until discharge/going home. The goal is for the patient to become as independent as possible.
The work includes everything from personal care, medical management, and supporting the patient in the rehabilitation process as part of a team with other professional categories. You plan and perform medical care interventions in close collaboration with nursing assistants. As a nurse, you are an important link in a multidisciplinary team, which requires good communication and collaboration.
As a newly graduated nurse, you are offered access to the region's introduction year for nurses during work hours, which provides you with conditions for professional development and reflection.
For care staff working in round-the-clock operations, Region Västerbotten offers increased flexibility through various working time models. The models focus on recovery through reduced working hours and increased opportunity to influence your working hours, as well as enhanced compensation for work at inconvenient times.
Supervision of students and colleagues is part of the role, as we are a university hospital with educational responsibility.
