Your Tasks Work as an inspector consists largely of field inspections of pharmaceutical and active substance manufacturing, import, and wholesale distribution. As a new inspector, you will receive thorough introduction to inspection work tailored to your previous experience, and after certification you will participate in and lead inspections. With more inspection experience, national inspections will alternate with international inspection assignments for, among others, the EMA (European Medicines Agency). As an inspector, you will participate in various working groups and collaborate with other operations within the Swedish Medical Products Agency and are expected to contribute to handling various matters as well as to consensus and harmonization regarding regulations and inspection activities. Your tasks also include informing about regulations in various contexts and handling incoming questions from companies, other authorities, or the public. Based on previous experience, there are various paths for development in an expert role with us. There are good opportunities to further develop in the role through participation in national and international working groups. Your Background We are looking for someone with a natural science university or college degree and many years of solid professional experience in quality assurance of pharmaceutical manufacturing or wholesale distribution of medicines. You have good current knowledge of GMP and GDP, and we would like you to have good insight into regulations regarding quality and approval of medicines. You should largely meet the formal requirements for a qualified person (QP) according to HSLF-FS 2021:102. It is a merit if you have experience from commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing, inspections/auditing, or have worked as a qualified person (QP or RP). It is also a merit if you have deeper knowledge of active substance manufacturing, sterile or biological medicines. Daily work requires very good ability to communicate in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. A driver's license is a requirement as the work involves regular travel.
