Project Management The municipality is growing and Uppsala Vatten och Avfall AB's vital public services are increasingly needed. In the coming years, we will both renovate existing facilities and build new drinking water plants and wastewater treatment plants with modern technology, while also facing major expansions and reinforcements of water and sewage systems and stormwater systems. About the Position We need more project managers to handle the increasing investment pace. As a project manager, you lead and drive projects related to treatment plants, water plants, expansion of the water and sewage network, or other areas of our operations. The projects vary in size and budget and are often complex. You have significant personal responsibility and drive projects from decision through handover to operations and maintenance. As a project manager, you are responsible for: • Establishing project plans • Leading projects during planning, design, and execution • Leading and participating in project meetings • Handling deviations and change requests • Allocating resources with the right expertise by procuring consultants and contractors and utilizing internal expertise • Supporting project members and providing the right conditions • Managing project finances, such as budgets, forecasts, and invoice handling • Managing regulatory contacts You will be part of the Project Management section, which is part of the Projects and Maintenance department, and you will report to the Project Management section head. Your workplace will be at our office in Uppsala Business Park, and you can also use our other office in Librobäck or at one of our facilities. Remote work is possible when work allows. Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent education • Several years of experience independently driving projects • Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written • Good knowledge of public procurement law, LOU and LUF is a merit • Good knowledge of construction contract law AB and ABT is a merit • Project management training or certification in IPMA or PMI is a merit We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and want you to share our core values: "we are responsive, forward-thinking, and curious" and apply them in your professional role. For this position, a security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment.
