More than half of the training time takes place as workplace-based learning (APL), which gives our students practical experience, confidence in their professional role, and an advantage in the job market. Job Description Vocational High School Uppsala is primarily seeking a certified vocational teacher in hairdressing, but we also welcome applicants with at least five years of work experience from the hairdressing industry. At our school, students learn a profession from the ground up at real workplaces with experienced mentors. In this position, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with the future professional hairdressers. More than half of students' training time takes place at a workplace, which gives them a solid foundation and an advantage in the job market. Our students are prepared in the best possible way for their future professional lives with support from their mentors and dedicated educators. We are looking for you if you: - Are a certified teacher in hairdressing or have at least five years of experience from the hairdressing industry and a strong drive to teach and mentor students. - Are an excellent communicator and team player who can serve as a bridge builder between school, students, and the business community. - Have a B-class driver's license and preferably have access to your own car. - Have the ability to work independently while also being team-oriented and collaborating with colleagues to best prepare students for their future professional lives. Qualifications Teacher's degree or substantial experience as a hairdresser and a desire to inspire and develop the next generation of hairdressers.
