You will become a key person in creating a modern, sustainable, and business-aligned IT landscape that supports Uppsala Vatten's overall development. About the Role As Group Manager IT Administration and Architecture, you will lead a group of approximately seven specialists with expertise in system administration, GIS, and IT architecture. You are responsible for developing people, working methods, and governance, while creating good conditions for collaboration between the business and IT. You are part of the IT/OT section within the Business Support department, which is growing and currently consists of approximately 25 employees. You report to the IT Manager and are part of the section's management team together with the IT Manager and two other group managers. There, you actively contribute to developing and strengthening Uppsala Vatten's collective IT capabilities. The role includes full personnel and work environment responsibility and overall responsibility for IT administration and IT architecture. You drive the development of our administration model, our architecture principles, and visions for the IT landscape, and ensure that our technology choices support the business's long-term goals. An Important Role in Our Continued Digitalization Over the coming years, we face several major development initiatives and system changes. We are therefore looking for a leader who creates structure, direction, and long-term focus. You will, among other things: • lead the group through clear, trust-based, and coaching leadership • create conditions for change, development, and new working methods • be the link between the business and IT and translate business needs into sustainable IT solutions • balance the business's need for rapid deliveries with long-term architecture choices • strengthen understanding of IT architecture, governance, and shared working methods in the organization • contribute to clear roles, responsibilities, and effective collaboration within IT. Your Work Tasks In the role, you will, among other things: • lead, coach, and develop a group of IT specialists with full personnel and work environment responsibility • plan, prioritize, and follow up on the group's work • further develop our administration model and ensure efficient IT administration according to PM3 • take overall responsibility for IT architecture and contribute to a coherent and long-term sustainable IT landscape • identify and drive development and digitalization initiatives • specify requirements and participate in procurements, system implementations, and major change projects • develop governance, collaboration, and working methods within the IT organization. Is This You? We are looking for someone who is a confident and structured leader who creates clarity and enables both people and the business to develop. You have good judgment, make well-founded decisions, and have the ability to prioritize even when circumstances change. You analyze complex issues and translate them into sustainable solutions. With a service-oriented approach, you build good relationships and collaborate well with both the business, colleagues, and external parties. You communicate clearly and pedagogically and find it easy to explain technical issues in a way that creates understanding among different audiences. We are looking for someone with: • university education in computer science, systems science, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent • documented experience leading employees • experience with IT architecture, including architecture principles, target architecture, and documentation according to established models • good experience with IT administration in an established organization • ability to create good relationships and collaboration between different functions • good communication skills and experience explaining technical solutions to people without a technical background • understanding of information security, cybersecurity, IT security, and data protection (GDPR). It is meritorious if you have: • certification as an IT architect, for example via Dataföreningen or IASA • experience from municipal operations or other large organization.
