The department is involved in advanced research in both basic and applied research. All divisions conduct their activities in close contact with clinics at Karolinska University Hospital. Your Assignment During fall 2026, we will conduct physical testing in a cohort of retired Swedish men and women. The aim is to increase knowledge about sarcopenia, and therefore we will perform advanced examinations of muscles and the nervous system. You will be responsible for examining the number of motor units (Motor Unit Number Estimation, MUNE) using MScanFit, as well as performing high-resolution electromyography (HD-EMG) to measure the electrical activity of muscles.
