You will work with the isolation and programming of primary immune cells to develop new treatment strategies for difficult-to-treat cancer. A central part of the work involves evaluating the therapeutic potential of the programmed immune cells using molecular and cellular biological methods. Your Team MAX IV is building TomoWISE, a new tomographic beamline designed to advance materials science for sustainability. To execute this project, we are assembling a specialized team to develop the beamline into fully operational equipment. As part of this team, currently consisting of a leading beamline scientist, a research engineer, and a data scientist, you will collaborate closely with experts in both technical and scientific divisions to plan, install, and commission advanced infrastructure and equipment. You will contribute to developing and maintaining tomographic imaging methods and support future beamline users. The project is led by TomoWISE's principal beamline scientist, and during the project period, the team will be part of the Beamline Office Group within the scientific division. Experience in materials science research or development of tomographic methods, with a genuine scientific interest in a materials science area (e.g., structural materials, energy materials, geology, functional materials for sustainability). Experience with experimental research, focusing on microscopy and imaging, preferably using X-ray radiation. This includes practical work with instrumentation, commissioning, as well as data collection and analysis. Documented ability to drive research projects from proposal to publication, with a collaborative approach. Experience presenting at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Fluent English—both spoken and written. The Following Are Considered Merits Experience and ability to prioritize and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment at a large user facility.
