Make a difference. Every day. Welcome to Adult Psychiatry Department 1 Psychosis - Psychiatric Intensive Care (PIVA)! Whether you are newly graduated or have experience as a nurse, you are warmly welcome here. We are an established department with a close-knit team of staff with many different areas of expertise. On Department 1, we have 13 care beds where our primary mission is to care for people with psychotic illness. The department also includes a PIVA unit with three care beds. Here we care for people, regardless of psychiatric diagnosis, who need a more stimulus-reduced environment. Working on Department 1/PIVA gives you the opportunity to follow and be a significant part in the care journey of the most severely ill patients from the onset of their illness to recovery and eventual discharge. On the department, we are a large team that works together. We always have at least two nurses during daytime hours plus a team leader who can provide support when needed. We also have an administrative nursing assistant during each shift who helps with organization and structure during work shifts. In addition to nurses, nursing assistants, and team leaders, our team also includes doctors, social worker, psychologist, secretary, unit manager, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. We have high baseline staffing during all work shifts and have together created a schedule that promotes recovery and well-being. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS We are looking for you who are a nurse with a strong interest in psychiatric care and who together with us wants to create a good work environment and safe care for our patients. This position is for day/evening shifts. Your work tasks include psychiatric treatment and nursing care as well as work leadership. Together with the administrative nursing assistant, you plan and structure the work shift, which gives you good conditions for an organized workday with time for patient-focused work. We focus on the whole picture of our patients, where we often need to make mixed external care interventions such as home visits to ensure that the patient is discharged to a stable environment. As a new employee with us, you receive structured orientation tailored to your needs and experience. You are assigned a mentor who you can work alongside. In addition to your mentor, you also have a senior mentor with extensive experience who will support and guide you in your new role. With us, you get access to training that continuously provides us with new knowledge. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. We consider it advantageous if you have specialist training in psychiatry. If you have previous work experience as a nurse and/or in psychiatry, we also consider that advantageous. As a person, you are empathetic, attentive, and responsible. You also have the ability to make independent decisions when needed. You also have very good conduct toward both patients and colleagues and high readiness to act.
