Department NRH offers a unique opportunity to work with all three specialties: nephrology, rheumatology, and dermatology. We have 18 inpatient beds divided into 3 teams with 6 patients in each team. The majority, 2 teams (12 patients), are focused on nephrology while 1 team (6 patients) is focused on a mix of rheumatology and dermatology care. We are part of Skåne University Hospital (Sus) and fall under the business area of endocrinology, nephrology, and rheumatology (ENR). We provide both regional care and highly specialized care for patients with both chronic and acute diseases. On the department, we work based on a person-centered approach, which we see as a prerequisite for offering high-quality care. We work around the patient in interprofessional teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, physicians, pharmacists, and medical secretaries. With us, there is a strong cohesion in the teams and good collaboration between professions. For us, good communication and well-functioning teamwork are very important. The department works according to the Magnet Model. The model identifies nursing as one of the main processes in healthcare. In addition, we place great emphasis on achieving very good nursing outcomes through evidence-based practice, innovations, technology development, and partnerships with patients. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES We are now looking for a nurse who wants to be part of our team. During weekdays in the daytime, a team consists of one nurse and one to two nursing assistants. During evenings and weekends, a team consists of one nurse and one nursing assistant, plus one to two additional nursing assistants as extra resources. At night, there are two nurses and four nursing assistants on the department. We have a nursing assistant at the reception to handle department phone calls, transport orders, appointment bookings, and to assist the nurses. Finally, we have a pharmacist who handles most medication-related tasks. Some of the kidney patients use a dialysis method called peritoneal dialysis (PD), which our nursing assistants manage after receiving training. As a nurse, you must also be familiar with this treatment method and will also be offered training. We have a collaboration with the rheumatology clinic in Lund and help staff their infusion unit where rheumatology patients come for intravenous treatments Monday to Friday. The person we are now seeking will work there for a few shifts per month. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement for the position. Experience in nephrology, rheumatology, and/or dermatology care is meritorious, but internal training for all areas is offered continuously and individually based on existing needs.
