Senior Physician (Overläkare)

Mammography, Radiology, Länssjukhuset Ryhov, Jönköping The Senior Physician Role As a senior physician in mammography at Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping, you will be responsible for independently evaluating clinical patients using ultrasound, biopsy, stereotaxis, and vacuum excisions. Screening review is also part of your work. We also use MR imaging for evaluation when needed. We will be introducing contrast mammography and AI in the near future. Clinical services are located in Jönköping. Health screenings take place in Jönköping, in the mammography unit in Höglandet, and at the radiology clinic in Värnamo. Forest Consultant for Rewetting Planning at Kronoberg District

Your future workplace The Swedish Forest Agency has a government assignment to implement rewetting of previously drained peatland. In order to scale up and continue developing rewetting work, we are seeking a forest consultant for a permanent position at Kronoberg District. Rewetting involves raising the groundwater level on historically drained peatland to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to being a tangible climate measure, it has positive effects on biodiversity and water management. Rewetting work contributes to several Swedish environmental quality objectives such as Living Forests and Reduced Climate Impact. Job responsibilities Your tasks as a rewetting planner may include the entire chain from initial GIS analyses to identify potential rewetting areas, dialogue with landowners, to finally implementing practical ditch blocking and subsequently monitoring its effects hydrologically as well as for nature conservation and climate-adapted timber production. This involves handling incoming applications of interest, contacting and conducting dialogue with landowners, processing cases in our case management system, conducting hydrological modeling, planning ditch blocking implementation, drafting agreements with landowners, and engaging and supervising excavation contractors for practical measures. Complex and challenging work, but at the same time very exciting, with great opportunities for personal development. The work is independent and varied with many different contact points. In Region South, there are currently three teams working on rewetting, and you will work with the support of competent and committed colleagues at the district, in the regional team, and within the rewetting administration nationally. In the position as forest consultant, other work tasks at the district may also be included, such as supervision work, advisory services, inventory, and forestry services within our contract activities. Qualifications You have an academic university degree in forest science, biology, or hydrogeology, alternatively other education combined with relevant professional experience that the Swedish Forest Agency deems equivalent. We would like you to have experience with site productivity assessment and field planning, and to have worked with both forest production and forest nature conservation issues. Knowledge of hydrology and the importance of water in the landscape is a plus. Experience with public administration, knowledge of species, administrative law, and nature value assessments are meriting. We value good IT/GIS skills.
