Unit Manager
The Administrative Support Department is a governing, coordinating, and supporting function primarily for cross-regional processes related to the Technical and Environmental & Building Committee, management, and administrative operations. The department drives and supports business development activities in dialogue with other departments in the administration. The department also includes the administration's customer service. The department currently consists of two parts: the customer service unit with a responsible unit manager and administrative support led operationally by the department manager. We are now seeking a unit manager for the new Management and Operations Support unit, based in Visby. The unit will consist of approximately 15 employees, including business development specialists with various specializations, committee secretaries, communications professionals, and administrative staff. At the Department of Technology and Infrastructure Development's MEX and Project Division, we manage some of Region Gotland's largest infrastructure and investment projects. We are responsible for land and development matters and implement development projects as well as construction, land, and infrastructure projects that develop infrastructure and the public environment on behalf of other departments within Region Gotland. Assistant Principal
We are now seeking an Assistant Principal for the Northern Gotland school area, which is currently organized with one Principal and two Assistant Principals. The area includes the following schools: Fårösund F-9, Solklintsskolan F-9, Fole F-6, and Lärbro F-6. Solklintsskolan is centrally located in Slite on northern Gotland with proximity to the sea and an archipelago. The building houses a preschool, preschool class through grade 9, after-school care, a school library, and Slite youth center. We have approximately 200 students and 35 employees. There are two work teams, one for grades F-6 and one for grades 7-9. Solklint also has a collaborative learning group for grades 4-9. The school has adequate facilities for instruction through grade 9 with rooms for music, home economics, science, art, and crafts. Solklintsskolan also has excellent conditions for outdoor education and sports activities. Fole School and Lärbro School include preschool class, grades 1-6, and after-school care departments. Fole has approximately 115 students and about 20 staff members. The school is situated in fantastic nature that is utilized in daily activities. Lärbro School has approximately 120 students and about 15 staff members. The school has well-maintained relatively recently renovated facilities with a nice outdoor environment that invites play and ball sports. Fårösund School is located in Fårösund on northern Gotland. The school currently has approximately 140 students from preschool class through grade 9 and about 25 staff members. The school is relatively recently renovated and the facilities are well-adapted for conducting school activities both indoors and outdoors. The school has adequate facilities for instruction through grade 9 with rooms for music, home economics, science, art, and crafts. The school has a good sports hall as well as access to a full-size sports hall and swimming facility one kilometer away. Your responsibilities As an Assistant Principal, you will work in a team consisting of the Principal, Assistant Principals, and school administrators. You lead the work and collaborate closely in the management group and the schools' student welfare teams. You focus on preventive and promotional work while also ensuring that administrative functions operate through corrective measures. You are also the operational manager of one or more schools in the area and have personnel responsibility there. You exercise leadership close to students and staff. Who are you? We seek someone with a higher education degree with a pedagogical focus and work experience in educational activities. The position requires a driver's license and access to your own vehicle. Process Engineer Water Treatment Plant
Water is our most vital resource, and Gotland's water supply is an important and timely issue. The Water and Waste Department is responsible for the development, renewal, and operation of Gotland's facilities such as water sources, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipeline networks, landfills, and recycling centers. We ensure a safe and sustainable water and wastewater supply to our subscribers and contribute to Gotland's sustainable development through good planning and prioritization where employees are involved and have significant responsibility within the framework of a good working environment. The department consists of approximately 130 employees with extensive and solid experience. You are never alone in your work but always have support at hand. The position is part of the Engineering and Development Unit (PUV) with a workplace in Visby. The unit is responsible for planning and designing new construction as well as renovation of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and pressure boosting stations, etc. PUV also drives projects that form the basis for strategic decisions regarding Region Gotland's continued and future water and wastewater supply. The assignment also includes process development at Gotland's water and wastewater treatment plants, where analysis of operational data and process trends are used to improve treatment results, energy efficiency, and chemical consumption. The unit works closely with the operations organization, engineers, and external specialists to develop operational documentation and materials for the continued development and capacity of the facilities.
