At the Department of Technology and Infrastructure Development's MEX and Project Division, we manage some of Region Gotland's largest infrastructure and investment projects. We are responsible for land and development matters and implement development projects as well as construction, land, and infrastructure projects that develop infrastructure and the public environment on behalf of other departments within Region Gotland.
The assignments are broad and varied; everything from water and sanitation and waste projects to development of public spaces such as streets, roads, parks, plazas and public facilities such as schools, health centers and care facilities, etc. The division also includes a procurement and purchasing function.
We currently have 50 employees in the division. The unit for water and sanitation, land and infrastructure employs 12 dedicated and competent staff members with broad experience and various specialized expertise. Together we work closely to find sustainable solutions and deliver high-quality projects that make a real difference for Gotland's residents, visitors and businesses.

Your responsibilities
As project unit manager you lead a unit of 12 employees responsible for implementing Region Gotland's investment projects in water and sanitation, land and infrastructure.
You have overall responsibility for operations, budget, personnel and working environment. The role involves leading, prioritizing and developing the operations so that projects are implemented efficiently, with high quality and within decided frameworks.
As unit manager you are part of the MEX and Project Division's management team where, together with other unit managers and senior specialists, you contribute to the division's strategic development. You collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities and political representatives and represent the unit in various forums.

We are looking for you who
Have an academic degree in water and sanitation, land and infrastructure, infrastructure development, planning or other education that the employer deems equivalent
Have experience of leadership as a manager or in another leading role
Express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing
Have a class B driver's license
It is an advantage if you have
Experience of working in a politically governed organization
Experience of leadership in water and sanitation, land and infrastructure
Experience as a manager of civil servants
Master's degree
