Adult education includes instruction at basic and upper secondary levels, Swedish language instruction for immigrants, special education services, adapted education for adults, vocational training at upper secondary and higher vocational education levels. Adult education also functions as a learning center offering examination services, study and career guidance, library services, and educational support for students and citizens. In total, adult education encompasses approximately 90 employees, of which approximately 65 are teachers. Adult education is led by a school principal/department head, administrative director, and three principals. Your responsibilities Adult education is seeking an operations developer to contribute to strategic and operational development of the organization. The position is placed close to management and includes qualified management support to the department head and administrative director, as well as responsibility for initiating, driving, and following up development initiatives within the department's area of responsibility. The role requires a solid understanding of adult education's mission, governance, and regulations, as well as the ability to translate strategic goals into concrete improvements in operations. Your main responsibilities will include: Providing support to the department head and administrative director in planning, follow-up, and management. Preparing decision-making materials, analyses, and presentations. Contributing to reporting to the board and other decision-making bodies. Participating in and documenting management group work. Coordinating and following up operational planning, goals, and results. Identifying development needs based on analyses, statistics, and operational dialogues. Initiating, leading, and implementing development and change projects within adult education. Driving improvement work related to structure, quality, efficiency, and goal achievement. Developing and implementing processes, work methods, and procedures. Supporting the development of the department's systematic quality work. Who are you? We are looking for someone with an academic degree in pedagogy, social sciences, or another degree that the employer considers equivalent. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You have experience in or knowledge of: Working with operations development and/or change management. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders at different levels. Leading and/or working in projects. It is a merit if you have: Experience from the education or labor market sector. Experience working close to management or in a staff function. Knowledge of governance and management in a politically governed organization. The role requires the ability to shift between strategic and operational tasks.
