Dining Room and Conference Manager at Gotland Grönt Centrum

Be part of creating the natural gathering place for Gotland's food. At the turn of the year, Gotland Grönt Centrum takes over the operation of the restaurant and conference activities in Roma. About the role In this role, you are responsible for the dining room, conference operations, hospitality and the restaurant's financial monitoring together with the finance manager for Gotland Grönt Centrum. You run the operations together with the head chef, who has main responsibility for the kitchen, production, raw materials and the overall operation. You become the restaurant's natural point of contact for guests, conference customers and colleagues at Gotland Grönt Centrum. An important part of the work is to create clear routines and ensure that the right information reaches the kitchen, dining room, school and customers. The role is both operational and administrative. You need to be comfortable being present in the dining room and meeting students and guests. At the same time, you should be comfortable writing quotes, monitoring finances, attending meetings and planning operations. Your main responsibilities You will, among other things: Lead daily operations in the dining room and conference, and plan staffing. Handle inquiries, bookings and dialogue with potential customers. Set prices and provide quotes within decided frameworks and in dialogue with the head chef. Coordinate bookings, menus, capacity and staffing with the kitchen. Monitor sales, booking status and business results against budget together with the finance manager for Gotland Grönt Centrum. Coordinate internal orders and maintain ongoing contact with the school and other operations at Gotland Grönt Centrum, such as Matbyrån Gotland. Be responsible for purchasing beverages and parts of the assortment sold in the restaurant. Communicate menus, opening hours, offers, events and producers on social media, in collaboration with Gotland Grönt Centrum's communications officer. During the startup phase, you and the head chef will build the team together with Gotland Grönt Centrum's management. You are jointly responsible for recruiting and planning additional staff based on operational needs. The long-term strategic development is led by Gotland Grönt Centrum's project manager and CEO. You will be an important part of implementing the restaurant's direction in daily operations. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone with experience from restaurants, conferences, hotels or other relevant service operations. You have previously managed or coordinated others and are used to taking responsibility for both guest experience and practical implementation.
