We shall provide our residents with a safe and secure municipality in which to live and work. Operational activities are organized with both full-time and on-call (RIB) personnel. Together we have broad expertise that is often very important and valuable for various types of rescue operations. Prevention activities work to promote good fire protection and measures that prevent and avoid accidents in society. We are seeking rescue personnel on call for the Rescue Service operations in Strängnäs/Mariefried and in Åkers Styckebruk. As on-call rescue personnel (RiB), you have an assignment alongside your regular work and respond to alarms in the area where you live and work. This may include personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, shopping, or outings—all based on the users' wishes. The need for temporary staff in our operations varies over time. As a temporary staff member with us, you work as needed on an hourly wage, and your contract covers agreed-upon work shifts and times. WORK DUTIES If you work at one of our fine residential care facilities, you help our service users at the facility with tasks they need support with on a daily basis. Much of the work is done one-on-one with the service user, but you have colleagues on-site and together you divide the tasks that need to be done during your shift. Within home care, you work with our service users in their own homes and support them with the tasks they have been approved to receive. During your shift, you walk, cycle, or drive between the users' homes. You usually make home visits on your own, but you are part of a work team. Documentation is part of the work, and your working hours vary and can be daytime, evening, and weekends. We are also seeking night staff for some of our units. To be considered for employment, you need to be able to get to and from work even in the evenings and on weekends without always being dependent on public transportation. This is especially important if you are applying for a job at one of our facilities outside central Strängnäs, such as Åkers styckebruk and Mariefred. During spring 2026, a new law has come into force which means that work in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities will be covered by background checks. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have: • turned 18 years old (this is a requirement to work as a temporary staff member with us) • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. • experience using IT as a support in daily work, as some documentation and scheduling is done in our systems. To be able to work within home care, it is also important that you can cycle. We consider the following as merits if you have/are: • completed upper secondary education. • training in care, particularly meriting if you are a nursing assistant with a protected professional title. • previous experience working in healthcare. • a driver's license (category B) and driving experience are meriting if you want to work within home care.
