The Language Center is Strängnäs Municipality's unit for mother tongue instruction and study guidance. The Language Center works with newly arrived students with a language background other than Swedish, as well as Swedish-speaking children who have attended school abroad and are entering Strängnäs Municipality's education system. We view mother tongue instruction and study guidance as a very important part of students' language development and achievement. We are now seeking a study guide instructor in Italian. The work is performed during daytime hours. 1 position(s). WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As a study guide instructor, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and developing instruction together with the supervising teacher according to each student's needs. You will work on-site at different schools in the municipality and may need to move between schools during the workday. You will work daytime hours approximately three hours per week, but the scope may vary during the term. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • strong knowledge, both spoken and written, of Italian as a mother tongue • strong knowledge, both spoken and written, of Swedish • Class B driving license, as the position may involve travel between schools within the municipality. It is advantageous if you have/are: • qualified as a mother tongue teacher or licensed teacher • previous experience in mother tongue instruction or study guidance Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. As a person, we are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks, is skilled at building good relationships, and collaborates easily with others. You work well with students individually and in groups, are flexible, and responsive to others' needs. Before employment, the employer will request an extract from the Police's suspicion and criminal record register. Employment Type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer.
