Smiltene Municipality Library is seeking a Senior Librarian for our team who, with initiative and energy, will engage in event planning, organization, and implementation, as well as support the library's daily operations. If you have a desire to work actively and apply your skills in creative processes related to promoting reading through event organization—we are looking for you! Your main responsibilities: · Plan and organize events and creative exhibitions promoting literature and libraries, and their media publicity; · Prepare author agreements, service agreements, and service acceptance and transfer acts; · Work with periodical collections; · Work with the library information system ALISE; · Participate in operational planning and reporting of the library's performance indicators; We will value in you: · Prior work experience in event organization and management is considered an advantage; · Higher or professional education in the library sector or higher education in another field; · State language proficiency according to the requirements of the State Language Law; · Initiative and desire for professional development; · Competencies: communication and collaboration skills; psychological resilience and high interpersonal culture; positive, creative, and responsible attitude toward work; · Ability to plan, manage, and analyze your work, prepare documentation necessary for work; · Good skills in working with information technology; · Knowledge of literature.
